Elbak S. A. is one of the pioneers of the canning industry in Greece. It is based in Larissa and belongs to the group of companies of the German I.Schroeder KG (GmbH & Co). As one of the largest canneries in Greece, we work in partnership with more than 2,500 producers. We produce and supply more than 40,000 tons of fruit annually worldwide.

We control and monitor the entire production process from harvest to the product ready for delivery. This allows us to guarantee high quality standards.

As nature-loving entrepreneurs, we are aware of our responsibility to promote the conservation of nature and local communities. As a company with a long tradition, we are oriented towards long-term benefits and think far beyond the next annual financial statements. In order to protect our domestic water, we have, among other things, installed our own wastewater treatment plant in our 95,000 square meter factory.

Preservation is the surest way to make our products durable in the long term. Valuable vitamins are preserved in the fruits and for years to come. The can packaging used by Elbak is fully recyclable and therefore fits in with our sustainable and environmentally conscious corporate philosophy.

Together with the farmers of the cooperatives, our agronomists discuss and plan Elbak’s organic strategies.
In this way we ensure sustainable orchard management and are actively committed to a healthy ecosystem – far beyond our fields.

Direct access to the most important ports and highways contributes significantly to the rapid worldwide transport of goods. In addition, modern production facilities throughout the plant and the German-Greek management guarantee the high quality level of all our products.

The product range of our Elbak factory extends from a wide variety of fruits such as peaches and apricots, olives, jams, dressings and aseptic products to product innovations such as fruit cocktail in white wine.
