Our company, Elbak S. A, is one of the pioneers of the canning industry in Greece. It has its headquarters in Larissa and belongs to the group of companies of the German corporation I.Schroeder KG. (GmbH & Co). As one of the largest canneries in Greece, we work in association with well over 2,500 producers. We produce and supply more than 40,000 tons of fruit annually worldwide.

We control and monitor the entire production process from harvesting right up to preparing the product for delivery. This enables us to ensure the highest possible quality standards.

As nature-loving entrepreneurs, we are aware of our responsibility to promote the conservation of natural resources in collaboration with local communities. As a company with a long heritage of green credentials, we are geared towards long-term profitability and sustainability, setting our sights far beyond immediate financial gains. To conserve valuable water supplies, we have, among other things, installed our own wastewater treatment plant on our 95,000 square meter factory site.

Careful preservation allows us to safeguard the quality of our products in the long term, meaning valuable vitamins are thus preserved in the fruits for many years. The Elbak canned food containers are almost completely recyclable and thus adhere to our company philosophy of environmental awareness and commitment to the sustainability of precious natural resources.

Our agronomists discuss and plan the organic strategies of Elbak in close collaboration and partnership with famers from the cooperatives. In this way we are able to ensure the sustainable management of the orchards and are actively involved in protecting the precious ecosystem both within and far beyond the boundaries of our fields.

In addition to the protection of nature, the social concerns of our employees are also a high priority. With our certified social management system, we protect the most important resource in the company: our team.
